Building market overview 2018:
- Volume of construction works in Ukraine amounted 100.5 billion UAH (3.6 billion USD)
- Construction volumes in 2018 increased by 6,4% in comparison to 2017
- In total during Jan-Sep 2018 – 5.2 million sq. meters of housing were taken into operation
- Growth in production of dry building mixes (+14%), plaster products (+2%), ceramic tiles (+2%), mineral wool for insulation (+6%)
- Share of imported construction materials exceeds 75%
Forecast for 2019:
- increase in construction volume predicted to be around 5%
- developers expect a raise in the cost of construction by 15-20%
- Planned changes in legislation of building sector will improve Doing Business Ranking and boost construction
